Television Infomercial - Henderson Security Solutions (Live Video Sample)



Challenge:
Henderson Security, Ottawa’s most trusted name in home security and the largest independent security dealer in Eastern Ontario, wanted to increase sales and build corporate brand awareness. They also were interested in finding out if taking advantage of the available low cost infomercial airtime on CJOH would be a worthwhile investment to support their outdoor and radio advertising.

Solution:
Marketing Breakthroughs suggested the idea of buying television airtime on CJOH during late-hour/early morning viewing.

We prepared the script and production details, selected talent (including CFRA's Ray Stone as host) and oversaw the editing and production of a 28-minute television infomercial for Henderson Security.

The client wanted to create a sense of “family” in the infomercial, in accordance with the key messaging and brand image of Henderson. Marketing Breakthroughs recommended that the infomercial be shot at Doug Henderson's home and that the infomercial feature his family dog as well as both male and female members of his staff. Selected customers were invited to participate in the shoot to give testimonials. Doug Henderson's “home location” also helped to reduce production costs.

Results:
Henderson Security increased its brand awareness and sold numerous home security systems as a result of this initiative.
