Media Campaign and Multimedia Presentation - Town of Bracebridge
|
Challenge: For five years, the Town of Bracebridge had been planning a $15 million community recreation complex. As of January 2005, there had been virtually no media coverage of the project. In short, Bracebridge residents simply did not know about what was happening in their community.
Solution: Marketing Breakthroughs was the architect behind the successful $550,000 capital campaign for the complex. We then brought this project to life, creating a name for the project and giving it a positioning tagline that was real and people-focused. We recommended incorporating the artistic renderings of the proposed facility into awareness materials. We incorporated all of this into a media release and backgrounder that carried the Town of Bracebridge branding, so that readers would immediately make the connection that this was a project made possible by the Municipality for its residents.
Marketing Breakthroughs designed and helped organize a press conference on January 27, 2005 in order to increase public and media awareness of the project. The media kit created for the press conference consisted of a two-page launch announcement with highlights of the project and the benefit to the community. The media kit also contained a very detailed backgrounder, which included the history of the project.
Following the media event, we created a very unique and robust multimedia presentation. Digital footage of key speakers during the media event was incorporated into the multimedia presentation, which was designed to be a support piece for speaker presentations to boards, stakeholders and large corporate donors.
Results: The media event organized by Marketing Breakthroughs was successful in generating much needed local and regional coverage for the project. This awareness was key to helping leverage corporate donor involvement and fundraising in advance of the complex’s Grand Opening in December 2006.
