Company Rebranding and Vehicle Design - Holmes Heating
|
Challenge: Holmes Heating is one of Ottawa’s foremost HVAC dealers. The company had a 40-year-old brand they were looking to reinvigorate to differentiate the company from their competitors. The company maintains a large truck fleet. Marketing Breakthroughs saw an opportunity to capitalize on this prime advertising space by turning the trucks into an attractive, mobile promotion of Holmes Heating.
Solution: Marketing Breakthroughs recommended that Holmes Heating turn its fleet of 25 trucks into powerful branding and messaging “moving” billboards. The creative approach to design was to give a warm personality and character to the Holmes brand, to advantageous position them over Direct Energy, who delivers impersonal, corporate service to customers.
We also helped the client uncover their unique selling point – a four-hour turnaround emergency service. It turned out that all of Holmes competitors were offering a 24-hour service. Because fast service during a Canadian winter is highly desirable, and Holmes guaranteed to be on the scene up to six times faster than their competitors, we recommended this become the key message and ‘selling point’ reinforced in all communications.
Results: This high impact outdoor advertising campaign was extremely effective for Holmes Heating and translated into a significant increase in customer inquiries and sales.
