Mega Customer Appreciation Party For Canada Retirement
|
| Friday, June 23, 2006
|
What once was a parking lot ‘Thank you’ party has expanded to “Wild West Wednesday” as the Canada Retirement Information Centre threw a Country and Western party extravaganza in appreciation of clients.
Marketing Breakthroughs made sure everyone, including Canada Retirement staff, got to kick up their heels, by organizing an event that ran without a hitch.
Marketing Breakthroughs developed the concert and barbeque theme, designed the invitations, handled the media, organized the concert, booked the crowd-stirring acts, and ran the event from top to bottom.
Over 1,000 clients stamped their feet and bucked their hips at the June 21 barbeque and concert, which set the walls of the Ottawa Hellenic Centre fair rattling. Cowboys, horses, step dancers, old time fiddlers and country singers from throughout the Ottawa Valley jammed inside for Ottawa’s largest customer appreciation party.
The power-packed entertainment line-up included Valley legends Gail Gavan, Howard Hayes and the Country Drifters, Grand North American Fiddle Champion Patti Lamoureux, 14 year old Métis fiddle phenomenon Alex Lamoureux, country radio host and performer Joel Lamoureux, the Buster Brown Step Dancing Troupe, and Concession 23 bluegrass band.
Canada Retirement had begun its tradition of “old fashioned” customer “thank-you” parties over 15 years ago, by inviting a few customers to a small parking lot barbeque. From these humble beginnings, this summer party has grown to become the largest annual “thank-you for your friendship and business” party event held in Ottawa.
"We're just delighted by the wonderful response from our clients, and highlighting our community’s roots in the Ottawa Valley through country music and food seemed like a natural this year," said Fred Bowie, CEO.
CRIC President Franco Frangione added: “We think it’s vitally important to give back and honour our clients in a unique way, and to show how much we appreciate their support and loyalty.”
Fred Bowie founded the Canada Retirement Information Centre in 1980. One of Canada’s foremost retirement income planning specialists, Canada Retirement is dedicated to helping those retired (or about to be) build safer and more prosperous retirements. Visit canretire.com
