Two Social Networking Experts Join the MB Team

Marketing Breakthroughs is thrilled to announce that Derek Smith, one of Ottawa's top social networking and new media professionals, has joined our team. A graduate of Algonquin's Public Relations Program and the University of Ottawa (Communications), Derek's mandate will be to help our clients capitalize on the massive shift to social networking on the web.

Derek will be developing social networking campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, My Space and other social networking sites. He will also be writing search engine optimized content for client websites, designing viral marketing and link building campaigns, and pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns.

Also new to the MB squad is Erin Piotrowski, our Web Marketing + New Media Intern. Erin is a recent MA (English) graduate from the University of Ottawa, and brings extensive copywriting experience and an enthusiasm for social network marketing to the Marketing Breakthroughs team. Erin is the first intern of our exciting 2009 Internship Program, designed to continue attracting the best young talent in Ottawa and beyond.
