October 16, 2009 - Always a frontrunner when it comes to
implementing the newest ways to engage clients, MB learns that they
are still ahead of the social media marketing game; according to
Natasha D'Souza's October 8th lecture on the "Must Have Social
Media Tools to Engage Your Clients."
At this OCRI ZoneFive event, veteran MB staffer,
Caitlin Hines and newcomer, Melissa Ray, were quick to learn that
reaching the high-tech Gen Y can be tricky business if your
business isn't properly equipped with the right strategy.
Not only are social media marketing campaigns designed to
stoke client interest through platforms like Facebook, Twitter,
LinkedIn and RSS feeds, but they are essential to developing and
maintaining your business. As it turns out, these resources aren't
being utilized by all businesses in Canada's commercial
marketplace.
MB not only takes advantage of these platforms, but we maintain
and update our blog, The Daily Breakthrough, at least twice weekly;
another excellent way to reach prospects, reports D'Souza.
"D'Souza's talk was not only interesting," says Ray, "but it was
also a very helpful way of gauging how MB is faring in terms of
implementing the newest social media tools." The good news is
that MB seems to be right on the cutting edge of social media
developments.
Also touching on the benefits of tagging, hashtagging, and
enterprise wikis, D'Souza says that the four steps to engaging
clients through social media come down to presence, connections,
community and promotion. These four words resonate here at MB
as we strive to make each and every one of our clients grow.
